Matters within the scope of Labor Relations may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Various matters or issues arising from day to day operations, to include:
- The administration and/or interpretation of provisions from the County’s various memoranda of agreements (MOAs), management resolution, County Personnel Rules & Regulations (PR&Rs) and the County’s administrative policy manual;
- Assistance with investigations of any alleged misconduct/wrong doing and any subsequent need, type and/or imposition of disciplinary action consistent with County-wide practice/policy;
- Any formal or informal supervisory/managerial/departmental response to matters that could be considered a meet and confer or bargaining matter with an employee organization(s).
- Common examples of meet and confer items generally include any work change that results in a change(s) to hours, wages, working/safety conditions, terms of employment/job duties, class specs, changes to existing Dept. policy, the creation and implementation of new Dept. policy, etc.
- Resolution of formal and informal grievances and complaints, as well as arbitration requests;
- Reductions in Force
